RF President Vladimir Putin has signed the Federal Bill On making amendments to Article 51 of the Merchant Shipping Code of the Russian Federation and the Federal Bill On State Corporation for Nuclear Power Rosatom, the Kremlin press office reports.
IN accordance with the new bill, Rosatom or its subsidiary will be entitled to issue, suspend, extend, cancel, and amend permits to sail by the Northern Sea Route.
The draft Bill was approved by the State Duma on June 21, 2022, and adopted by the Council of the Russian Federation on June 22, 2022.
