TransContainer and International Logistics CRCT Rus, part of China Railway Container Transport (CRCT), a subsidiary of China Railway, have concluded a Memorandum on cooperation in developing container transportation between Russia and China. The document was signed on Tuesday at the international transport and logistics exhibition TransRussia 2022 in Moscow.
The Chinese party intends to prioritize TransContainer’s services when organizing import and export shipments to/from China. The parties also intend to promote development of multimodal transit services via Russia.
One more aim of the cooperation is to balance export, import and transit cargo flows to improve container fleet and rolling stock utilization efficiency and minimize idle runs of containers.
Cooperation with Chinese partners will help develop the East – West international transport corridor, offer shippers more options to deliver their cargo from China to Russia and other countries, and utilize the transit potential of Russia, Alexander Isurin, President of TransContainer, said.
