According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, Russia’s car import in January-October 2021 was up 55.7% year-on-year to 288.3 thousand units. Truck import during the 11 months of the year grew by 54.2% year-on-year up to 27.3 thousand units.
In terms of value, car import during January-October increased by 64.6% year-on-year up to $6.7 bn. Truck import surged 2.1-fold up to $1.9 bn.
According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in October 2021, car import was down 16.4% year-on-year and up 2.3% month-on-month to make 26.6 thousand units. Truck import made 3.1 thousand units, up 10.7% year-on-year and up 14.8% month-on-month.
In terms of value, car import decreased by 0.9% year-on-year and by 1.6% month-on-month to make $627.2 mn in October. Truck import was worth $203.4 mn, up 48.5% year-on-year and down 7.9% month-on-month.
Russia’s car export in January-October 2021 was up 42.4% year-on-year to 73.2 thousand units. Truck export grew by 11.7% making 10.5 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export was up 50.3% year-on-year amounting to $1.2 bn. Truck export increased by 9.9% to make $272.6 mn.
In October, car export grew by 11.5% year-on-year and declined by 13.9% month-on-month to 6.8 thousand units. Truck export made 1.3 thousand units, up 30% year-on-year and up 30% month-on-month.
In terms of value, car export in October increased by 9.3% year-on-year and decreased by 24.4% month-on-month to make $97.4 mn. Truck export was worth $32.8 mn, up 32.8% year-on-year and up 40.2% month-on-month.
