Fertilizers Export in January-October 2021: Mixed Fertilizers Export Down

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-October 2021 Russia exported 11.5 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, up 0.1% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export grew by 50.9% up to $3.1 bn.

    Potash fertilizers export during January- October 2021 increased by 27.9% up to 10.1 mn tons. In terms of value, it surged by 67.9% up to $2.5 bn.

    Mixed fertilizers export amounted to 8.6 mn tons, down 3.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export grew by 49.9% up to over $3.3 bn.

    In October, nitric fertilizers export made 878 thousand tons, down 3.8% year-on-year and down 38.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, it surged by 78.3% year-on-year, but declined by 35.1% month-on-month to make $295.8 mn.

    Potash fertilizers export decreased by 13.9% year-on-year and by 35.6% month-on-month making 876.7 thousand tons worth $367.9 mn (up 2.1-fold year-on-year and down 13.7% month-on-month).

    Mixed fertilizers export in October declined by 34.6% year-on-year and by 20.8% month-on-month to make 627.6 thousand tons worth $314.7 mn, up 31.9% year-on-year and down 14.2% month-on-month.
