TransContainer and SUEK have concluded an agreement to develop containerized coal transportation via the Zabaikalsk border crossing checkpoint in the Russian Far East. The document was signed by Alexander Isurin, President of TransContainer, and Stepan Solzhenitsyn, MD of SUEK.
Under the agreement, TransContainer is to develop optimal value-for-money transport solutions to export SUEK’s production and offer through tariffs for transportation that will deploy the operator’s own and third parties’ rolling stock. SUEK in its turn is to provide information on the company’s export geography and monthly export volumes.
The potential annual transportation volume will make more than 1 mn tons. In the future, the parties also intend to consider using other routes via the Zamyn-Uud and Grodekovo border crossing checkpoints.
