According to SeaNews PORTSTAT analytic online service, the total cargo throughput of all the Russian sea ports during January-September 2021 amounted to 662.1 mn tons (+1.7% year-on-year). Five terminals handled 167.1 mn tons or 26.9% of this volume.
CPC-R in Novorossiysk was the leader in January-September 2021 in terms of cargo throughput. Its cargo traffic decreased by 1.6% year-on-year down to 43.9 mn tons.
Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port rated the second in January-September 2021. Cargo traffic via the terminal amounted to 40.2 mn tons, down 1.8% year-on-year.
Primorsk Commercial Port handled 38.3 mn tons, down 0.2% year-on-year.
Cargo throughput via Transneft Kozmino Port in Vostochny increased by 2.1% up to 25.6 mn tons.
Vostochny Port handled 19.1 mn tons. Its cargo traffic was down 9.2% year-on-year. In January-August this terminal was the sixth.
It should be noted that the stevedores, which demonstrated the highest growth did not get into the Top-5.
Nakhodka oil bunker saw its cargo traffic surge 12.3-fold, “Slavyansky Timber Terminal” Stevedoring Company in Posiet was up 7.3-fold and Primoretz Fishing Cooperative in Nakhodka was up 6.9-fold.
The largest decrease in cargo traffic was in Anroskrym in port Kavkaz (-93.7%), Tiksi Sea Port (-82.2%) and Akron Yug in Rostov-on-Don (-79.1%).
