In the Baltic, freight rates are growing dynamically. Despite the large number of open positions in the region, the high demand for them allows ship owners to maintain a high level of rates, Sea Lines shipbrokers report.
Mainly cargoes from Baltic ports are designated to the ports of Ghent and Antwerp. On week 43, the freight rate from Ust-Luga to Ghent is €48-49 pmt.
On week 4-, freight rates for 3,000-5,000 dwt bulkers from Ust-Luga to Riga made €32 pmt and those to Gdansk were €33 pmt.
Freight rates from Ust-Luga made €35 pmt to Szczecin, €39 to Flensburg, and €47 to Hamburg.
Rates from Ust-Luga were €49 pmt to ARAG, €54 pmt to East Britain, €57 pmt to West Britain, and €58 pmt to Dublin.
