Продуктовый импорт, 7 месяцев 2021: в июле существенно выросли поставки сахара

Food Products Import in January-July 2021: Sugar Import Grows

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-July 2021 fresh and frozen meat import was down 11.8% to 134 thousand tons. Fresh and frozen poultry import increased by 2.4% up 16.3% to 134.3 thousand tons. Fish import grew by 16.3% up to 231.4 thousand tons. Canned meat and meat specialties import declined by 4.2% making 11.3 thousand tons.

    Milk and condensed cream import was down 18.3% to 71.2 thousand tons. Butter import decreased by 2.4% down to 76.9 thousand tons. Cheese import grew by 14.6% up to 192.8 thousand tons.

    Palm oil import was up 10.4% to 629.4 thousand tons.

    Citrus fruit import was up 4.7% to 864.4 thousand tons. Banana import decreased by 5.7% down to 876.6 thousand tons, and apple import declined by 0.1% down to 682.5 thousand tons.

    Raw sugar import surged by 84.8% up to 6.1 thousand tons, white sugar import was down 20.4% to 91.5 thousand tons.

    Coffee import in January-July grew by 5.3% up to 138.9 thousand tons, and tea import by 4.8% up to 92.6 thousand tons.

    In July, the following categories demonstrated a year-on-year decrease in import volumes: bananas, apples, milk and condensed cream, butter, canned meat and meat specialties.

    Compared to June 2021, the import of fish, white sugar, cheese, milk and condensed cream, butter and raw sugar increased.

    White sugar import in July 2021 amounted to 28.4 thousand tons, up 2.5-fold year-on-year and up 3.6-fold month-on-month. Raw sugar import in July grew 80% year-on-year and 2.3-fold month-on-month to 900 tons.

    Coffee import in July, increased by 8.2% year-on-year and by 6.1% month-on-month to make 21 thousand tons. Tea import was up 24.6% year-on-year and up 23.6% month-on-month to 15.2 thousand tons.
