According to the RF Federal Customs Service, during January-June 2021 Russia exported more than 1.6 mn tons of unwrought aluminum, up 50.1% year-on-year. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export increased by 63.2% year-on-year up to $2.9 bn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export declined by 1.9% year-on-year making 317.5 thousand tons worth $2.6 bn, up 50.3% year-on-year.
Unwrought nickel export in January-June 2021 decreased by 26.9% year-on-year amounting to 33.4 thousand tons worth $573.1 mn, up 1.5% year-on-year.
In June, unwrought aluminum export made 388.4 thousand tons, up 56.4% year-on-year and up 51.9% month-on-month. In terms of value, unwrought aluminum export surged 2.1-fold year-on-year and by 79.8% month-on-month to make $849.9 mn.
Refined copper and unwrought copper alloys export was down 27.7% year-on-year but up 10.4% month-on-month to 54.2 thousand tons worth $498 mn, up 28.9% year-on-year and up 15.7% month-on-month.
Unwrought nickel export in June was down 55.8% year-on-year and down 37.6% month-on-month to 5.3 thousand tons. In terms of value, it declined by 35.2% year-on-year and by 33.8% month-on-month to make $91.7 mn.
