Block Train to Carry Korean Containers to Europe

  • FESCO has launched the first full block train to carry Korean gods to Europe in the framework of its FESCO Trans Baltic Bridge (FTBB) service.

Sixty-two 40’ units laden with various machinery, solar panels, and lighting equipment were delivered from Busan to Commercial port of Vladivostok on FESCO’s regular service and loaded on a block train that left Vladivostok for St. Petersburg on July 29. From St. Petersburg, the containers will be shipped to ports of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands by a service operated by FESCO.

The transit time is expected to make about 30 days, 10-14 days faster than the traditional route via the Suez.
