Global Ports Group has purchased 32 new terminal tractors and 40 semi-trailers – a total of 72 units – for St. Petersburg-based First Container Terminal and Petrolesport, both part of the Group.
FCT has received 15 Terberg YT193 tractors and 16 Seacom semi-trailers with a capacity of 60 tons. 17 Kalmar T2 tractors and 24 Seacom semi-trailers with a capacity of 40 and 60 tons have been purchased for PLP.
The vehicles will be used to handle 20’, 40’ and 45’ containers, supporting the operations of RTG and RMG cranes, as well as STS cranes.
Tractor cabins meet the European safety standards and the ROPS and FOPS technical requirements to protect the operator in the case of machine rollover and from falling objects.
The new equipment is easily manoeuvered and performs well in both high and low temperatures, and has already proven its performance during the heat in St. Petersburg in June.
