Icebreaker ”Moskva” Transferred to Far East

  • The icebreaker “Moskva” has been officially transferred to the Far Eastern branch of Rosmorport. Previously, the vessel was part of the fleet operated by the North-Western branch of Rosmorport.

    The 114 m LOA 27.5 m beam diesel-electric icebreaker is the lead ship in the 21900 Project series was built in 2008 at the Baltic Shipyard in St. Petersburg.

    This winter, the vessel operated in the region escorting vessel to and from the ports of Vanino and Prigorodnoe.

    At present the ”Moskva” is undergoing maintenance in Vladivostok and is scheduled to dock for repair before the start of the new winter navigation of 2021-2022, when it will be again deployed in Vanino and Prigorodnoe.
