Russia – EU Trade in January 2021

  • During January 2021, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union decreased by 10.2% year-on-year down to 15.9 bn euro.

    According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia was down 8.1% during January 2021 making 5.7 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union declined by 11.3% down to 10.2 bn euro.

    Among the largest importers from the EU Russia stepped down to the sixth position after the US, the UK, China, Switzerland and Turkey, which was the sixth largest importer from the EU last year.

    Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia stepped up to the third position ahead of Switzerland and the UK and after China and the USA.
