Pionersky Cruise Port Project to be Resumed in 2021

  • The construction of the new international cruise terminal in Pionersky in Kaliningrad Oblast is planned to be resumed in 2021. Rosmorport has announced a tender to choose the contractor that will complete the project.

The project envisages building a 725 m long quayside with two berths to accommodate ro-pax ferries and cruise liners, as well as protective structures and shore-based infrastructure.

The contract with the contractor earlier selected was terminated last year. Rosmorport expects that the new contractor will be able to start work as early as at the start of the next year.
