Zim Launches New Black Sea Service

  • Zim has announced the introduction of the Levant – Black Sea Express (LBX) service planned to commence on October 6.

    The new LBX, solely operated by Zim, will have the following rotation: Port Said East – Alexandria – Mersin – Novorossiysk – Constanta – Aliaga – Mersin – Haifa – Port Said East.

    According to ZIm, the LBX was planned to cater for the specific needs of customers in the region, including additional capacity and seasonal agricultural cargo.

    The service will deploy three 1,200 TEU vessels that will be calling at the NUTEP terminal in Novorossiysk on Saturday, SeaNews was told by Zim Russia.

    The service is weekly, the first call at Novorossiysk is scheduled on October 17.
