TransContainer Carries First Flexitanks to China via Land Border Crossin

  • TransContainer has organized transporting the first flexitank containers laden with vegetable oil to China via the Zabaikalsk rail border crossing.

Earlier, the Chinese Railways did not allow flexitank import via land border crossings, so flexitank containers had to be delivered to China by sea.

Russian Railways and Chinese Railways agreed on test shipments, and on August 27 the first four 20’ units with vegetable oil left for China from TransContainer-operated rail terminal in Penza.

If the test proves ac success, regular shipments may be organized.
