Novotrans has announced completing the first stage of the construction of LUGAPORT universal terminal in Ust-Luga. The investment at the first stage exceeded 7 bn rubles ($102 mn). At this stage, artificial territories were built.

The new territory is over 43 ha measuring 1.25 thousand meters long and 350 meters wide. The overall area of the terminal will make 73 ha.
The universal terminal will handle general cargo, solid bulk, grain and food products serving Panamax, New-Panamax, and Baby-Capesize vessels with a draft up to 15.5 meters.
The facility will be also capable of handling up to 1.1 thousand railcars a day.
The total investment into the project amounts to 46.5 bn rubles ($677.7 mn) including 38 bn rubles ($553.8 mn) of Novotrans’ money.
