According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-March 2020 Russia exported 3.08 mn tons of nitric fertilizers, down 4.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, nitric fertilizers export dropped by 22.9% down to $565.5 mn.
Mixed fertilizers export amounted to 2.77 mn tons, up 11.2% year-on-year. In terms of value, mixed fertilizers export decreased by 13.1% down to $668.6 mn.
Potash fertilizers export during Q1 of 2020 declined by 29.6% down to 1.16 mn tons. In terms of value, it dropped by 40.7% down to $248.6 mn.
In March, nitric fertilizers export was down 1.7% year-on-year, but up 63.2% month-on-month making 1.29 mn tons worth $217.7 mn (down 25.5% year-on-year and up 48.4% month-on-month).
Mixed fertilizers export in March made 1.09 mn tons, up 34.5% year-on-year and up 29.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 7.4% year-on-year and by 33.1% month-on-month to make $267.3 mn.
Potash fertilizers export in March decreased by 31.2% year-on-year and grew by 26.6% month-on-month to make 583.3 thousand tons worth $121.5 mn, down 43.9% year-on-year and up 22.1 month-on-month.
