According to SeaNews PORTSTAT analytic online service, the total container throughput via the Russian Far East basin ports in February 2020 decreased by 0.9% year-on-year. Cabotage was up 3.1% and export up 17.4%. Import declined by 20.3% and transit by 6.3%.
The share of the Far East basin in the total container traffic via all the Russian seaports in February 2020 amounted to 31.8%.
Laden container throughput in the Far East decreased by 2.1% year-on-year. Reefer containers accounted for 9.1% of the total laden container traffic, and dry containers for 90.9%. Imports made 35.3% of all the laden containers, cabotage 29.4%, exports 28.1%, and transit 7.2%.
Empty container traffic was down 2%.
The port of Vladivostok accounted for 53.8% of the aggregate container throughput via the Russian Far East basin sea ports in February. Vostochny handled 25.5%, and Korsakov 9.1% of the total.
