RZD Logistics has launched a new transit container service from Shenyang in China to Enns in Austria via the territory of Russia. The train crosses the Russian – Chinese border in Zabaikalsk in the Russian Far East.
The first train departed on March 14 and arrived at the destination on April 1. It carried industrial cargoes. In China and Europe, the train was operated by Far East Land Bridge (FELB), a subsidiary of RZD Logistics, and on the Russian territory the operator was RZD Logistics itself.
At present, a second train is getting ready to follow the same route.
