In October 2019, the Russian Far Eastern ports cargo throughput increased by 15.5%. Export was up 16.5%, import up 6%, transit up 31.5% and cabotage up 10.3% year-on-year.
More than 75% in the Russian Far Eastern ports’ commodity structure is coal, oil and products. In October, coal and coke accounted for 46.4% of the total volume, crude oil for 24.7% and oil products for 7.2%. Containerized cargo constituted 7.4% of the total.
Vladivostok
In October 2019 Vladivostok handled 6.9% more cargo than during the same month last year. Export increased by 8.8%, cabotage by 3.6% and transit, which is insignificant, surged 3.8-fold. Import remained much on the previous year’s level (-0.7%).
Vostochny
Cargo throughput via Vostochny grew by 11.7% year-on-year in October 2019. Cabotage was up 6.5%, import up 19.4% and export up 11.8%. Transit, on the contrary, decreased by 8.2%.
Vanino
Compared to October 2018 cargo throughput via Vanino increased by 24.9%. Import was up 7%, export up 25.3% and cabotage up 30.9%
Nakhodka
Cargo throughput via Nakhodka grew by 7.8% year-on-year in October. Export increased by 11.5%, import was up 66.3%, cabotage was down 24%.
Posyet
Cargo throughput via Posyet increased by 53.9% year-on-year in October. Export was up 65.3%, import, which is insignificant, surged 2.5-fold. Cabotage declined by 1.3%.
