According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during January-May 2019 Russia exported some 106.3 mn tons of crude oil, just up 0.2% year-on-year. In terms of value, crude oil export declined by 1.6% down to $49.1 bn.
Oil products export in January-May decreased by 6.9% down to 60.5 mn tons. In terms of value it was down 8.3% to $28.8 bn.
Diesel fuel export made about 22.2 mn tons in terms of tonnage (-6.2% year-on-year) and $12.5 bn in terms of value (-6.9%).
Petrol export in January-May dropped 6.8% year-on-year down to some 2 mn tons worth about $1.1 bn, down 10.8%.
In May, Russia exported 19.1 mn tons of crude, down 5.7% year-on-year and down 8.3% month-on-month. In terms of value, crude oi l export declined by 5.6% year-on-year and 3.9% month-on-month to make $9.7 bn.
Oil products export in May decreased by 9.4% year-on-year and 5.7% month-on-month down to 10.9 mn tons worth $5.6 bn (down 9.2% year-on-year and 0.1% month-on-month).
Diesel fuel export made 4.1 mn tons (down 5.9% year-on-year and up 7.8% month-on-month) worth $2.4 bn (down 8.2% year-on-year and up 10.9% month-on-month).
Car petrol export in May surged 32.5% year-on-year but declined 8% month-on-month making 432.3 thousand tons worth $259.1 mn growing by 36.6% year-on-year and 6.1% month-on-month.
Natural gas export in January-May amounted to 93.4 bn cbm, down 4.7% year-on-year. In terms of value, it also declined, by 0.7% down to $20.1 bn.
Liquefied natural gas export during the first 5 months of the year increased by 49.7% year-on-year up to 25.3 mn tons, its value was up 76.3% exceeding $4 bn.
In May, natural gas export made 15.7 bn cbm, down 10.3% year-on-year but up 6.8% month-on-month. Value-wise, it was worth $2.9 bn (-21.7% year-on-year and up +0.8% month-on-month)
LNG export in May amounted to 2.2 mn cbm dropping by 61.4% year-on-year and 80.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, LNG export declined by 52.9% year-on-year and by 52.9% month-on-month making $378.6 mn.
