Eurosib has launched a new block train from Krasnoyarsk to China via the Grodekovo / Suifenhe border crossing. According to the company, this is the first rail service serving export on this route in the market.
The first train carrying 41 40’ containers laden with sawn goods manufactured in the Kraznopyarsk Kray departed from the BLTK terminal on June 7.
The transit time from Krasnoyarsk to the border rail station Grodekovo will make no longer than 6 days. On the border, the containers will be loaded onto 1435-gauge standard fitting platforms and carried to the station of Xianing.
Eurosib says, there is a steady demand in the region allowing of making the service regularity weekly.
