According to the RF Federal Customs Service’ statistics, during the first three months of 2019 Russia exported some 66 mn tons of crude oil, up 7% year-on-year. In terms of value, crude oil export increased by 3.4% up to $29.2 bn.
Oil products export in January-March decreased by 6.7% down to 37.9 mn tons. In terms of value it was down 8.8% to $17.6 bn.
Diesel fuel export made about 14.2 mn tons in terms of tonnage (-1.4% year-on-year) and $7.8 bn in terms of value (-31.7%).
Petrol export in Q1 2019 dropped 23.3% year-on-year down to 1.1 mn tons worth $576.3 mn, down 28.6%.
In March alone, crude oil export from Russia made 23.7 mn tons, up 23.7% year-on-year and 15.2% month-on-month. In terms of value, it grew by 25.7% year-on-year and by 18.6% month-on-month up to $10.9 bn.
Oil products export in March was down 6.6% year-on-year and up 5.9% month-on-month amounting to 12.9 mn tons. In terms of value it was down 7.1% year-on-year and up 30.3% month-on-month making $6.2 mn.
Diesel fuel export increased by 0.9% year-on-year and by 18.2% month-on-month up to 5.4 mn tons worth $3.1 bn (+1.5% year-on-year and +21.7% month-on-month).
Car petrol export dropped 32.1% year-on-year, but increased 13.7% month-on-month up to 403.5 thousand tons worth $214.6 mn (-35.8% year-on-year and +12.7% month-on-month).
Natural gas export in January-March amounted to 61.5 cbm, up 2.2% year-on-year. In terms of value, it grew 13.5% up to $14.1 bn.
Liquefied natural gas export during the first three months of the year increased by 19.4% year-on-year up to 11.7 mn cbm, its value was up 49.8% making $1.9 bn.
In March, natural gas export decreased by 17.1% year-on-year and by 8.9% month-on-month down to 18.4 cbm worth $3.7 bn (-21.4% year-on-year and -21.2% month-on-month)
LNG export in March amounted to 2.6 mn cbm, down 45.8% year-on-year and 29.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, LNG export declined by 19.4% year-on-year and by 25.8% month-on-month making $510.5 mn.
