In the port of Ust-Luga, due to slower ice formation and milder weather forecast, the introduction of additional restrictions for vessels is put off until February 21 instead of February 14.
Since this date, provided the ice reached 10-15 cm thick, the following restrictions enter into force:
- Barges pulled by tugs are not allowed to sail in the ice conditions.
- Vessels with no ice class are allowed to navigate only escorted by icebreakers.
- Vessels with the Ice1 and higher ice class and above are allowed to navigate with or without icebreaking support.
