Russia’s import of cars during January-October 2018 amounted to 241.6 thousand units, increasing 15.1% year-on-year.
In terms of value, car import, according to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, grew 10% up to $5.9 bn.
Truck import declined 10.1% down to 20.7 thousand units.
However, in terms of value truck import increased 1.7% up to $1.6 bn.
Car export grew by 7.4% up to 75.2 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export was down 6.9% to slightly over $1 bn.
Truck export was up 3.8% to 11 thousand units.
In terms of value, truck export increased 19.2% up to $262.2 mn.
