According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in January-July this year the import of raw sugar, meat and milk products into Russia declined significantly.
Thus, Russia imported 221.5 thousand tons of meat and meat products, down 36.6% year-on-year.
Fresh and frozen poultry import declined 11.2% down to 118.5 thousand tons.
Fish import, on the contrary, grew 0.9% up to 221.9 thousand tons. Canned meat and processed meat products import increased 2.4% up to 10.1 thousand tons.
Milk and condensed cream import decreased 39.1% year-on-year down to 83.1 thousand tons.
Butter import dropped 33.1% down to 46.8 thousand tons. Vegetable oils import increased 46% up year-on-year to 17.1 thousand tons. Palm oil import made in July as much as 69.7 thousand tons, up 3% month-on-month.
Citrus fruit import during January-July grew 11.3% year-on-year up to 847.7 thousand tons. Apple import in July made 63.4 thousand tons (-8.4% month-on-month), and banana import was 106 thousand tons (-13.3% month-on-month).
Raw sugar import in January-July dropped 62.6% down to just 3.3 thousand tons, while white sugar import declined 2.3% up to 161.9 thousand tons.
Coffee import was up 10.4% to 114.1 thousand tons and tea import up 3.5% to 99.6 thousand tons.
