According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during January-July 2018 Russia’s export of sawn goods made more than 11.1 mn tons, up 5.3% year-on-year.
In terms of value, sawn goods export grew 18.2% up to $2.6 bn.
Logs export declined 4.5% down to 10.5 mn cbm. In terms of value, logs export was up 5.8% making $885.9 mn.
Plywood export increased 8.8% up to almost 1.6 mn cbm in terms of volume and 27.3% up to $807.7 mn in term of value.
Wood pulp export grew 2.2% up to 1.2 mn tons in terms of tonnage and surged 49.8% up to $858.4 mn in terms of value.
Newsprint export declined slightly by 0.4% to 655.7 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it increased 29.1% up to $343.8 mn.
