Russia’s import of cars during January-May 2018 amounted to 115.9 thousand units, surging 29.2% year-on-year.
In terms of value, car import, according to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, grew 19.7% up to $2.9 bn.
Truck import decreased 8.5% down to 8.4 thousand units.
However, in terms of value truck import increased 16.4% up to $810.5 mn.
Car export grew by 1.5% up to 34.2 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export was down 13.3% to $474.5 mn.
Truck export was up 2.1% to 4.9 thousand units.
In terms of value, truck export declined 5.9% down to $104.1 mn.
