Top Managers Appointed in Novorossiysk

  • Igor Terentiev, Executive Director of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port, has been appointed Senior Deputy Managing Director of the company.

Alexander Lesnyak has been appointed Executive Director, prior to this he held various managerial positions in Novorossiysk Fuel Oil Terminal (NMT), Importpischeprom (IPP), and Transneft-Terminal.

Roman Fedotov has been appointed Deputy Managing Director, legal and corporate issues. Prior to this appointment he held managerial potions in Transneft-Terminal and other companies.

All of the newly appointed top managers come from Transneft’s subsidiaries.

Earlier this year Trannsneft confirmed its intention to acquire from Summa Group the latter’s share in Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port group. The potential acquisition was approved by the Russian anti-trust authorities.

However, the deal which would allow Transneft to accumulate a 50.1% package in NCSP (in addition to the 10.5% controlled via Transneft-Service) was put on hold after Ziyavudin Magomedov, the majority shareholder in Summa, was arrested on March 30 on state money misappropriation charges.
