According to the RF Federal Customs Statistics, during January-March 2018 Russia imported 18.8 mn pairs of leather footwear, up 21.6% year-on-year.
In terms of value, leather footwear import increased 24.6% up to $483.4 mn.
Clothes import also grew, up 14.4% to $1.69 bn.
Cotton fabric import increased 15.4% up to 61 mn sqm. In terms of value, it grew 27.9% up to $40.8 mn.
Cotton fabric export from Russia was up 22.9% up to 2.3 mn sqm and up 20% to $12.6 mn in terms of value.
