By order of the Harbour Master of the Big port of St. Petersburg, new ice restrictions are introduced in St. Petersburg w.e.f. March 7, in case ice is 15-30 cm thick.
Barges moved by tugs and vessels with no ice class will be banned from sailing in the port basin and in the approach channels.
Vessels with an Ice1 ice class will be allowed only with icebreaker assistance.
Vessels with Ice2 and higher ice class will be allowed with icebreaker assistance or independently, with a permission and recommendations of the icebreaker.
Similar ice regime is introduced in the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg as of the same date.
