FESCO Transport Group has announced the expansion of its India – Novorossiysk service FESCO Indian Line West (FIL-W) by adding feeder connections to Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Containers delivered from Pakistan by the Chittagong – Colombo – Mundra feeder are relayed onto FESCO-operated vessel at Mundra and shipped directly to Novorossiysk. The transit time is 45 days with monthly departures.
Imports from Bangladesh consist mainly of consumer goods while exports include timber and woodwork, chemicals and construction materials.
Pakistan is connected via a Karachi – Mundra feeder with a transit time of 23 days. Russia exported to Pakistan mainly food products and imports stone goods and food products. The Pakistan service is also monthly.
FESCO has also added a connection to Port Klang in Malaysia with a transit time of 10-11 days from Port Klang to Mundra plus some 16 days from Mundra to Novorossiysk. The feeder frequency is weekly.
Malaysia exports to Russia feed and nutritional supplements, coconut oil, soap and rubber, and imports grains and oilseeds, and fertilizers.
