Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port Adds 5 Cranes

  • Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port has purchased three RTG cranes and two portal cranes as part of its investment programme, the port said in a statement.

    The 45-ton hoisting capacity RTG cranes are capable of stacking containers 6 layers high and 9 rows wide. They are equipped with a state of the art operating system. The RTG units will be installed in the rear areas of Berths No49, 50, 52.

    The 60-ton STS cranes already mounted at Berths 49 and 50 have and outreach of 45 meters which allows of handling ULCVs. Two more STS cranes are to be delivered under the investment programme by the end of 2023.

    The new equipment and the new container yards are expected to add 263.3 thousand TEU to the annual terminal capacity thus increasing it up to 507,760 TEU in 2024.

    The aggregate CAPEX into the port infrastructure development will have reached more than 8 bn rubles ($84.5 mn).
