Vologda Ships Ice Cream to Israel via St. Petersburg

  • The Northwest administration of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) has issued a certificate of compliance for a shipping lot of ice cream made in Vologda designated for export to Israel.

    According to the Rosselkhoznadzor press office, 7.9 tons of ice cream will be shipped to Israel via the port of St. Petersburg. The shipment includes 1.8 tons of chocolate-glazed vanilla ice cream, which is most popular in Israel, 0.8 tons of ice cream with caramel and almonds, and other kinds of ice cream.

    According to Rosselkhoznadzor’s statistics, since the start of 2023 Israel imported 52.6 tons of ice cream made in Vologda as compared to 48.6 tons imported during the full year of 2022.
