RZD Logistics is launching Pharmexpress, an expedited delivery service for the export and import of pharma materials and medicines, the company said in a statement.
Goods are shipped using the existing block train services in validated autonomous reefer containers, which ensures the continuity of the cold chain along the entire route.
As each of the containers is equipped with a diesel generator the temperature regime is maintained throughput the transportation process, which includes switching between railway and road.
Pharmexpress os designed for Russian and foreign pharma and cosmetics manufacturers and distributors as well as for suppliers of materials for these sectors, and for exporters and importers of other temperature sensitive goods.
