First Long Train for Reefer Containers from Moscow to Vladivostok

  • FESCO Transport Group in cooperation with Russian Railways and with the assistance of the Association of Food Products Sector Companies has launched the first long reefer trains from Moscow to Vladivostok, the Group said in a statement.

    The train consisting of 62 fitting platforms carrying reefer containers with food products only left the railways station of Selyatino in Moscow region on August 13 and is expected to arrive at Commercial Port of Vladivostok on August 25.

    From Vladivostok, the containers will be shipped by cabotage services to ports in the Russian Far East and exported to consumers in East and Southeast Asia.

    Following the successful launch of the first long reefer block train, FESCO, Russian Railways and the Association of Food Products Sector Companies have agreed to develop cooperation in order to expand the service from Moscow to Vladivostok.
