FESCO Transport Group has added the port of Shantou to the rotation od its FESCO China Express-3 (FCXP-3) service, the Group said in a statement.
The upgraded rotation is as follows: Vladivostok – Shantou – Xiamen – Wenzhou – Ningbo – Shanghai – Busan. FESCO deploys three containerships in the service offering a transit time of 5 days from Vladivostok to Shantou and 13 days from Shantou to Vladivostok on a weekly basis.
The first call to Shantou was on August 7. The addition of the port is due to the high demand for the products made in Guandong Province on the part of FESCO’s customers in Russia.
Most of the imports are consumer goods including toys, textiles, plastic and porcelain goods, construction instruments, while exports consist mainly of polypropylene, chemical products and sawn timber.
