The Government of the Russian Federation has extended the quotas for mineral fertilizers export for a period since June 1 till November 30, 2023. An order to this effect was signed by RF Premier Mikhail Mishustin, the Government press office said in a statement.
The decision is aimed at maintaining sufficient supply of fertilizers to the home market. At the same time, fertilizers exports to Abkhazia and South Ossetia will not be subject to quotas.
Prior to this, the RFV Government introduced the quota for mineral fertilizers export for a period since January 1 till May 31, 2023.
The quota currently in force amounts to 12.6 mn tons of mineral fertilizers. However, the quota for the export of carbamide, ammonium nitrate, Complex NPK fertilizers, and monoammonium phosphate was increased by almost 2 mn tons as the domestic demand for those products is fully satisfied.
