Komsomolsk-na-Amure Port Reconstruction Project

  • Komsomolsk Commercial Port intends to reconstruct the port infrastructure of the Komsomolsk-na-Amure port to start commercial operations by 2026 planning to handle up to 165,000 tons annually.

    The investment project is developed in accordance with the agreement between the investor, which has a status of a resident of the Komsomolsk territory of advanced development, and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation.

    According to the Corporation, the project is worth 69.5 mn rubles ($788.5 thousand), with the overall investment into the port infrastructure reconstruction and modernization will exceed 300 mn rubles ($4 mn).

    The port reconstruction project envisages modernizing the existing outdated infrastructure (the buildings, the berths and the quayside) as well as building new warehouses, general cargo and solid bulk facilities, rails, and acquiring new cranes and other handing equipment.

    The project is to start in 2023 with reconstructing the administrative building and the port rails. After that, the investor plans to study the possibilities to expand cargo traffic geography and to build a container yard. In 2025, sawing equipment is planned to be purchased.
