Северная железная дорога отправила первый «грузовой экспресс» на экспорт

First Freight Express Train from Sharya Station

  • Severnaya (Northern) Railway has launched the first freight express train from the station of Sharya in Kostroma region. The train consisting of 56 railcars left the station on Mach 1.

    It is expected to reach the border crossing station of Naushki in less than 6 days to cross the border to Mongolia crossing its territory to deliver goods to China.

    The train carries goods produced by small and medium businesses of Kostroma and Kirov regions that were loaded at five station of Severnaya Railway.

    In future, it is planned that such trains will run from Sharya once or twice a month.

    Severnaya railway started loading express freight trains in 2017. During 2022, 89 such trains were sent, and in 2023, 19 trains ran.
