During January-October 2021 Russia’s export of sawn goods made 15 mn tons, down 5.4% year-on-year. According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in terms of value, sawn goods export was up 42.1% making $5.2 bn.
Logs export increased by 0.2% year-on-year up to 12.2 mn cbm worth $904.6 mn, up 11.6% year-on-year.
Plywood export grew by 4.4% year-on-year to make 2.5 mn cbm worth $1.6 bn, up 64.5% year-on-year.
Wood pulp export in January-October 2021 amounted to 1.7 mn tons, down 10.8% year-on-year worth $1.1 bn, up 32.6% year-on-year.
Newsprint export made 766.2 thousand tons, down 17.2% year-on-year, worth $320 mn, up 2.2% year-on-year.
In October, sawn goods export made 1.4 mn tons, down 6.6% year-on-year and down 9.9% month-on-month worth $567.4 mn, up 65.1% year-on-year and down 9.4% month-on-month.
Logs export made about 1.2 mn cbm, down 11.2% year-on-year and down 1.8% month-on-month. In terms of value, it increased by 5.7% year-on-year and declined by 3.8% month-on-month to make $88.9 mn.
Plywood export in October, made 221 thousand cbm, down 27.7% year-on-year and up 1.7% month-on-month. In terms of value, it grew by 82.3% year-on-year and decreased by 1.7% month-on-month making to $188.1 mn.
Wood pulp export made 168.5 thousand tons, down 20.7% year-on-year and down 0.2% month-on-month. In terms of value, wood pulp export increased by 23.8% year-on-year and declined by 10.3% month-on-month to make $114.5 mn.
Newsprint export grew by 33.9% year-on-year and by 28% month-on-month to make 86.8 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it was up 2-fold year-on-year and up 28.2% month-to-month to $44.1 mn.
