Экспорт черных металлов, 9 месяцев 2021: стоимость проката и полуфабрикатов выросла в 2 раза

Russia’s Ferrous Metals Export Up 14.4% in January-September 2021

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-September 2021 Russia exported 34.1 mn tons of ferrous metals, up 14.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, ferrous metals export grew by 87.7% up to $22 bn.

    Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export was up 23.2% year-on-year to 12.4 mn tons. In terms of value, it doubled to make $7.4 bn.

    Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export in January-September 2021 grew by 12.9% year-on-year up to 6.5 mn tons worth $5.4 bn, up 2-fold.

    Cast iron export during the first 9 months 2021 increased by 1.9% year-on-year up to some 3 mn tons worth $1.5 bn, up 63.5%.

    Ferroalloys export in January-September 2021 grew by 24.6% year-on-year up to 687 thousand tons worth more than $1 bn (+58.2%).

    According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, in September 2021 ferrous metals export was up 7.5% year-on-year and up 34.5% month-on-month to 3.5 mn tons. In terms of value, it grew 2.1-fold year-on-year and by 29.1% month-on-month to make $2.8 bn.

    Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export in September 2021 was up 59.9% year-on-year and up 89.7% month-on-month making 1.5 mn tons. In terms of value, it surged 3.1-fold year-on-year and by 83.6% month-on-month to $1.1 bn.

    Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export in September 2021 was up 4.2% year-on-year and up 0.3% month-on-month making 780.3 thousand tons worth $771.9 mn (up 2.2-fold year-on-year and down 0.5% month-on-month).

    Cast iron export in September 2021 made 118.4 thousand tons, down 75.3% year-on-year and down 51.2% month-on-month. In terms of value, it amounted to $70.3 mn, down 51.5% year-on-year and down 54.6% month-on-month.

    Ferroalloy export in September 2021 was down 6.2% year-on-year and up 6.3% month-on-month to 58.7 thousand tons. In terms of value, it grew by 51% year-on-year and by 9.3% month-on-month to make $99.7 mn.
