RZD Logistics and TransContainer have cooperated to deliver sunflower oil from Yekaterinburg ion Russia to Shanghai. A train laden with forty-one 40’ units with bottled sunflower oil left TransContainer’s terminal in Yekaterinburg on November 11 and is routed to Shanghai via the Zabaikalsk-Manzhouli border crossing point.
The block train is part of the Agroexpress project aimed at assisting Russia’s exporters of agricultural products. RZD Logistics provide trucking to the station and rail services, while TransContainer provides containers and fitting platforms.
In future, the service may become a regular one.
