According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-July 2021 Russia exported 27.9 mn tons of ferrous metals, up 18.3% year-on-year. In terms of value, ferrous metals export grew by 84.4% up to $17.1 bn.
Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export was up 22.4% year-on-year to 10.2 mn tons. In terms of value, it surged by 89.5% up to $5.8 bn.
Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export in January-July 2021 grew by 11.9% year-on-year up to 4.9 mn tons worth $3.9 bn, up 89.9%.
Cast iron export during the first 7 months 2021 increased by 30.1% year-on-year up to 2.6 mn tons worth over $1.2 bn, up 2-fold.
Ferroalloys export in January-July 2021 grew by 33.2% year-on-year up to 573.4 thousand tons worth $863.3 mn (+61.9%).

Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export in July 2021 was up 4.5-fold year-on-year and up 2.7-fold month-on-month making 3 mn tons. In terms of value, it surged 9.3-fold year-on-year and surged 2.9-fold month-on-month to $2.1 bn.
Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export in July 2021 was up 30.2% year-on-year and up 14.3% month-on-month making 874.3 thousand tons worth $898.2 mn (up 2.9-fold year-on-year and up 31.3% month-on-month).
Cast iron export in July 2021 made 851.3 thousand tons, up 3-fold year-on-year and up 96.8% month-on-month. In terms of value, it amounted to $487.9 mn, up 5.4-fold year-on-year and up 2.3-fold month-on-month.
Ferroalloy export in July 2021 was up 2.8-fold year-on-year and up 2.4-fold month-on-month to 177.3 thousand tons. In terms of value, it surged 3.9-fold year-on-year and up 2.3-fold month-on-month to make $281.4 mn.
