FESCO Group has started seasonal service from Chinese and US ports to Chukotka in the framework of its container liner service FESCO Arctic Line (FAL).
The first sailing started on August 1 from Taicang in China to Provideniya, Pevek and again Provideniya in Russia and than to Yantai in China. 14 thousand tons will be delivered to Chukotka.
The service deploys two multipurpose ice-strengthened vessel “FESCO Uliss” and “FESCO Paris”. During July-October, four sailings are scheduled with some 45 thousand tons of cargo to be delivered.
FAL calls at Qingdao, Taicang and Yantai in China, Everette in the USA, and Provideniya, Pevek, Vladivostok and Vostochny in the Russian Far East.
In 2020, over 1,000 TEU and some 10 thousand tons of floatation concentrate was carried.
FAL complements another FESCO-operated service, FESCO Anadyr Direct Line (FADL) that connect Vladivostok with Anadyr and Egvekinot in Chukotka.
