FESCO Group has completed its first intermodal delivery of footwear from China to Krasnodar, South Russia, via Commercial Port of Vladivostok in the Russian Far East for Kari, a footwear and accessories retailer.
62 40’ units were carried from Xiamen, Shanghai, Shekou and Ningbo on FESCO’s regular services to Commercial Port of Vladivostok and loaded on a block train designated for Rostov-na-Donu. From there, they will be trucked to the destination in Krasnodar.
The overall transit time will make 35 days, 1.5 times quicker than by the traditional deep sea rote via the Suez Canal.
FESCO said the Group has been working for Kari since 2014 having carried almost 27,000 TEU for that customer.
