Vanino Commercial Sea Port has started the procurement procedures to build local wastewater treatment facilities. The first stage of the project is worth 160 mn rubles ($2.2 mn), and the entire project cost is over 300 mn rubles ($4.1 mn).
The first stage envisages building surface wastewater treatment facilities in Area 1, at the second stage, wastewater treatment facilities are to be developed in Area 2 of the port. The project is scheduled to be completed in 2022.
The project capacity of the treatment facilities is 1,080 cubic meters an hour. The facilities will improve the environmental protection of the port water basin.
