Russian Made Ice Cream Shipped to China

  • RZD Logistics has organized delivery of ice cream from Russia to China by AgroExpress reefer block train it operates.

    The cargo was loaded at the station of Selyatino in Moscow region to be carried to Vladivostok in the Russian Far East. From Vladivostok, the reefer containers will be shipped by sea to Qingdao, Shanghai and Dalian in China.

    This time it was a test shipment. In the framework of the project, RZD Logistics was responsible for providing containers, transporting them by rail, “first mile” included, chartering the vessel, organizing terminal operations in Vladivostok, and freight forwarding along the entire supply chain.

    In future, the company intends to develop business in this segment as deploying autonomous reefer containers allows of delivering temperature sensitive products by any mode of transportation.
