Экспорт черных металлов, 4 месяца 2021: вывоз металлопроката вырос почти на треть

Ferrous Metals Export in January-April 2021: Flat Section Export Up Almost a Third

  • According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during January-April 2021 Russia exported 14.3 mn tons of ferrous metals, up 13.2% year-on-year. In terms of value, ferrous metals export grew by 46.8% up to $7.5 bn.

    Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export was up 2.1% year-on-year to 5 mn tons. In terms of value, it increased by 28.3% up to $2.4 bn.

    Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export in January-April 2021 grew by 29.1% year-on-year up to 2.7 mn tons worth $1.7 bn, up 73.4%.

    Cast iron export during the first 4 months 2021 increased by 25.8% year-on-year up to 1.1 mn tons worth $453 mn, up 61.6%.

    Ferroalloys export in January-April 2021 grew by 1.3% year-on-year up to 259.6 thousand tons worth $363.8 mn (+8.9%).

    In April 2021, ferrous metals export was up 34.4% year-on-year and up 21.2% month-on-month to 4.1 mn tons. In terms of value, it surged by 94.3% year-on-year and grew by 23.1% month-on-month to make $2.3 bn.

    Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export in April 2021 was up 36.7% year-on-year and up 78.8% month-on-month making 1.6 tons. In terms of value, it increased by 94.3% year-on-year and by 75.3% month-on-month to $808.6 mn.

    Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export in April 2021 was up 20.9% year-on-year and down 5.4% month-on-month making 649.3 thousand tons worth $474.1 mn (up 88.9% year-on-year and up 4.2% month-on-month).

    Cast iron export in April 2021 made 306.1 thousand tons, down 10.8% year-on-year and down 34.9% month-on-month. In terms of value, it amounted to $135.8 mn, up 27.9% year-on-year and up 54.9% month-on-month.

    Ferroalloy export in April 2021 was up 53.1% year-on-year and up 48.8% month-on-month to 84.2 thousand tons. In terms of value, it grew by 57.9% year-on-year and declined by 33.9% month-on-month to make $119.1 mn.
